  2. Really enjoyed this one, Jim. A few old faves but plenty of stuff I'm unfamiliar with. Made me realise I really must explore some Jackie wilson. Of course, i'm a sucker for psych so The Dovers, The Raves and the Avengers stood out and I think the Litters version of I'm a Man superior to the Yardbirds'. Good to hear the Mysterians and the Troggs again cos I'm so much more familiar with the cover versions.

  3. Thanks Rich! These one's I throw together seem to get more downloads than ones I spend hours editing! Love that Dover's song, I'd head it on nuggets before but never really appreciated it until I heard this which samples it:

What cover of 96 tears do you mean by the way? Did The Stranglers cover it? I've seen it on track listings but never heard it, will have to check it out!

  4. Yes, the Stranglers, Jim. A much ballsier version, of course, and their last proper hit, although the self-penned follow-up, Sweet Smell of Success, was good too.
